Mandatory Face Masks/Coverings at all BGP Sites

As of Monday 27th July 2020, it will be mandatory for all persons that enter any of BGP’s clinics to wear a face mask/covering.

This decision has been made to protect the health of our GPs, nurses, staff, patients, and the wider community. It has been made in accordance with the advice from the Department of Health and Human Services Victoria, recommending face coverings be worn when you leave home and are in situations where it is difficult to maintain a physical distance of 1.5 metres between yourself and others.

Children under 12 years of age will not be required to wear a mask and those patients with medical conditions such as breathing difficulties, respiratory issues, skin condition of their face and hearing impairment will also be excluded from wearing a mask.

Whilst we currently have a limited supply of masks, we expect that there will be a shortage and may only have up to two weeks stock to provide. Therefore, we ask that you supply your own.

When wearing a face mask, it is important to not touch the front of the mask. Use the loops or ties to put on or remove the mask. See how to wear a mask here.

We thank you for your understanding and co-operation during these times of uncertainty.
